This lens uses the EF-S mount which is only compatible with Canon Digital Rebel series (including XT, XTi, XTSi, XSi), 20D, 30D, 40D, and 50D cameras.To meet user demands for a fast EF-S zoom lens, Canon has specially designed a new lens with a large aperture of f/2.8 for EOS 30D, 20D, 20Da, Digital Rebel XT and Digital Rebel only. The large circular aperture produces a shallow depth-of-field, creating background blur that draws attention to the photographic subject. The lens construction includes UD and aspherical elements, which deliver impressive image quality throughout the entire zoom range. Image Stabilizer lens groups shift to compensate for camera movement so that the image appears steady on the image plane, ensuring clear, crisp images, even in dim light. With a Ring-type USM, inner focusing and new AF algorithms, this lens achieves autofocus quickly and quietly, and with full-time mechanical manual focusing, manually adjusting the focus is possible even in AF mode.

How much will shipping cost?
At the time of your order you'll pay shipping for both our shipment to you and
your shipment back to us. We include a prepaid shipping label to return
your order. A calculator will appear above after filling your
cart for an exact quote.

How long will it take to receive my order?
Orders placed before noon Central usually ship the same day. Our
standard FedEx service shipping normally takes 1-3 business days to
arrive and overnight shipping is available.

Do you offer insurance? What happens if a lens is damaged?
Both the inbound and outbound shipments are automatically insured for loss and
damage. We also offer an optional damage waiver program that limits your
liability for damage to a maximum of $30 while the item is in your
possession.
